GRANTED IN PART: January 15, 1993 GSBCA 12236-C(12127-P) INTEGRATED SYSTEMS GROUP, INC., Appellant, v. DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY, Respondent. Shelton H. Skolnick, Derwood MD, counsel for Protester. A. Neill Stroud, Eastern Area Counsel Acting Office, Camp Lejeune, NC, counsel for Respondent. Before Board Judges DANIELS, Chief Judge, LaBELLA, and VERGILIO. LaBELLA, Board Judge. Integrated Systems Group, Inc. (ISG) successfully protested the inclusion of an "only new" requirement in a procurement conducted by the Department of the Navy. Integrated Systems Group, Inc. v Department of the Navy, GSBCA 12127-P (Novem, ber 30, 1992). Having prevailed in its protest, ISG now seeks to recover its costs pursuant to 40 U.S.C. 759 (f)(5)(C) (1988), and Board Rule 35. Protester has submitted its request, together with supporting documentation, totaling $1,742. This request includes $1,100.00 for 7.4 hours of ISG's attorney's time, and $632.00 for 7.9 hours of an ISG corporate officer's time. Although the Government has no objection to any of these costs, the recent Full Board decision in Sterling Federal precludes any award of costs incurred to pay corporate employees to work on a protest. Sterling Federal Systems, Inc. v. National Aeronautic and Space Administration, GSBCA 10000-C(9835-P), 1992 BPD 141 (May 22, 1992), appeal docketed, 92-1552 (Fed. Cir. Sept. 28, 1992). As we are otherwise convinced of the reasonableness of the requested amounts, we award the cost of ISG's attorney, $1,100.00. 2 Decision ISG's motion to recover its costs is GRANTED IN PART. ISG is awarded $1,100 as the reasonable attorney fees incurred in litigating this protest, to be paid, without interest, in accordance with 31 U.S.C. 1304 (1988) and 40 U.S.C. 759(f)(5)(C) (1988).
